Man Kills Alleged Rival in Aarey After Alcohol-Linked Confrontation, Arrested Within Hours
In a shocking incident in Mumbai’s Aarey area, Bhimraj Omprakash Sharma allegedly killed Vikas Ashok Bhusare after inviting him to his residence, where alcohol was consumed with Sharma’s wife. The accused, suspecting an affair, slit the victim’s throat and fled into the Aarey forest before being arrested within three hours by police. Investigation is underway.
According to police officials from Aarey Police Station, Sharma had long suspected Bhusare of having an affair with his wife. Acting on this suspicion, Sharma invited Bhusare to his residence, where he, his wife, and Bhusare consumed alcohol together.
During the gathering, Sharma allegedly issued a warning to Bhusare, instructing him not to meet his wife again. Moments after the warning, Sharma reportedly attacked Bhusare with a knife and slit his throat in front of his wife.
Following the attack, Sharma fled the scene and took refuge in the dense forest area surrounding Aarey in an attempt to evade arrest. Police launched an immediate search operation and apprehended him within three hours of the incident.
Police sources also stated that Bhusare had earlier been accused of harassing Sharma’s wife and was allegedly continuing to meet her despite repeated objections and warnings from Sharma.
A case has been officially registered, and law enforcement authorities have initiated a detailed investigation into the incident.
The case has drawn serious attention due to the brutality of the attack, the involvement of personal disputes escalating into lethal violence, and the rapid police action leading to the accused’s arrest shortly after the incident.
